Although it may seem that a structure has been created to shape this Festival it is not intended as absolute, but as a inception point. Feel free to add on and edit what we have started. Let us know what you want to do with the space and time which we have acquired. We are not a governing body of this festival, we merely hope to act as a central reference to answer your questions and get you the resources you need.

Don't forget to pass the word on to friends, family, acquaintances, rivals, passers-by, fellow citizens, fans, peers, elders, youth, neighbors...

What is it?

Simultaneous Festival is happening this Labor Day Weekend the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of september at the Soap Factory. Simply put it is a chance to assemble and converse, share, trade, learn and enjoy. You are invited to do any of these or any other activity you would like to do. During the weekend there will be community meals, round table discussions, swap meets, music, installations, a free library, and much more.

How is all this happening? You will do it. The Festival is not sponsored by any corporate entities or major endowments it will be the result of those willing to participate. If your an artist bring your work to show and trade. If you are knowledgeable about a subject sign-up to teach a workshop and pass it on. Can you write, donate to the free library and have you work distributed to hundreds in a matter of days. Maybe you know how to build things, plenty of room to form temporary structures in and around the Soap Factory. Need a place to stay rooms available.

If any of this sounds interesting the Festival can be contacted by email at
simultaneousfestival@gmail.com
or call
612.872.6100 ask for derek.
